This time of year can be busy - it's the season for shopping, decorating and making merry. But step back from the all the lights and noise — what is the holiday season really about? Spending time with family and friends, making memories that last a lifetime. And that’s exactly what your blood donation this holiday season will help give to those in need. More time with their loved ones, more birthdays, more laughter, and more life. As our way of saying thanks, you will receive a special long-sleeve Red Cross T-shirt, while supplies last, if you donate blood between Dec. 20, 2018 and Jan. 6, 2019. The need for blood is constant and only volunteer donors can fulfill that need for patients in our community. Nationwide, someone needs a unit of blood every 2 to 3 seconds and most of us will need blood in our lifetime.
