The Weeping Water Chamber of Commerce met for its regular meeting on March 19, 2007 for lunch at theFaith Missionary Church. President Mike Spohe welcomed everyone to the meeting and the invocation was given by Pastor John Moser.

Door prizes were furnished by Hammons Family Funeral Service and winners were:, Kay Gerdes, Jean Bruns, Doris Tiedeman, Carole Cappen, Dave Chebatoris, Brian Gegg and Paula Steinacher.

The minutes of the February meeting were read by Betty Welte. Carole Cappen made a motion to accept the minutes, 2nd by Diane Christian, motion carried.

The financial report was given by Jean Bruns with a balance of $3,935.11. Lindsey Powles made a motion to accept the financial report, 2nd by Don Hughes, motion carried. Betty Welte passed a signup sheet for help and donations for the Easter Egg Hunt to be held April 7, 2207 at 1:00 p.m. at the Ball Field.

Pastor Reynolds advised that there would be a Community Good Friday Service at the First Christian Church at 7:00 p.m. He encouraged each one to come out and to be a part of the choir that was to be formed.

It was noted that a couple families needed to be welcomed to the community. Our guest speaker was Kevin Colbert, Executive Director of the Lofte Theatre. Kevin welcomed each one to come out and visit the new Lofte and invite our friends. Their first year saw record sales and they were most proud of the entertainment that the Lofte offered.

Next meeting will April 16th at the United Methodist Church. Adi Idler made a motion to adjourn, 2nd byChris Carpenter, motion carried.
