Make it a Christmas to remember! Weeping Water Chamber of Commerce hosts the annual Come Home For Christmas Celebration in Weeping Water on Saturday December 3, 2022.
Schedule of Events
8am – 2pm Rolls, coffee, cookie decorating, homemade cookie/candy sale and lunch starting at 11
9am – 3pm Craft/Vendor Show at Gibson Hall

9am – 3pm Sale at The Vault with Doorbusters and Coco Bombs by Desirae
11am – 2pm Shortcakes Sweets and Treats Food Truck - Lunch, decorate your own cookie boxes, fudge, peanut brittle.
10am – Noon Visit Santa & Mrs. Claus at United Methodist Church
10am – 2pm Pie Contest, Bake Sale, Games & Quilt Raffle at Memory Lane
Museum
7pm Lofte Community Theatre “Every Christmas story ever told (and then some)”
Ongoing Events Include:
- Business storefronts and houses around town decorated for Christmas. (Stop at the city office to enter) Vote for your favorite at Gibson Hall. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place.
- Play Finding Frosty! Pick up your stamp sheet at Gibson Hall and go around the town business to find frosty!
- Coloring Contest sponsored by Weeping Water Dental

Pie Contest • Bake Sale • Quilt Raffle
The Pie Contest & Bake Sale is back! Show off your baking skills and celebrate the nostalgia of the holiday season at the Weeping Water Valley Historical Society’s Old Fashioned Pie Contest and Bake Sale on Saturday, December 3rd at Memory Lane Museum from 10am to 2pm. The event is held in conjunction with Weeping Water's Annual Come Home For Christmas Celebration so there's lots to do in town that day!
The pie contest is open to amateur & home bakers of all ages and 1st & 2nd place prizes will be awarded to Adult (13 & up) and Youth (12 & under) Categories. Contestants may enter up to two different pies and will be judged by overall appearance, crust, filling, flavor, and creativity. There is no cost to enter. Following judging the pies will be sold by the slice. Our esteemed panel of judges includes local professional chef Sarah Slattery, pie extraordinaire Timron Gilfert, and retired WWPS band teacher and expert pie taster Kevin White.
Not a baker but have a sweet tooth? Stop by for the eats! The Weeping Water Whiz Kidz 4-H club is hosting a bake sale and quilt raffle, plus there will be games and prizes for all ages.
