Weeping Water One Act

Weeping Water High School's Competitive One Act cast and crew just finished up their season with a wonderful performance at district one act competition, which was held at Johnson-Brock school. The title of the performance was Imperfect Proposal, which is the story of a young man, Ben, who is ready to pop the big question to his girlfriend, Kate. He thinks he has a wonderful plan for the proposal. He decides to ask Kate to meet him in a very busy public park for a picnic. Everytime Ben is about to ask her the ever important question they are interupted. Football players, elderly couples, unruly protesters...it seems to never end.

Weeping Water performed on November 13th at the Lofte Community Theatre for Conference and did a wonderful job. Weeping Water ended up placing sixth in the competition and decided to try some different strategies before performing in Weeping Water and at districts. After a lot of hard work, on November 20th the Imperfect Proposal cast and crew had their public performance in Weeping Water School's auditorium. There was a huge audience at the performance and it was easy to tell the audience enjoyed the play by the continuous laughter. Weeping Water did great at districts, but unfortunately did not make it to state competition.

All in all, the Weeping Water students had a great time practicing and performing the play and they did a wonderful job. Congratulations to Jordan Redden, Gary Meyers, and Kori Duntz on being awarded outstanding actor/actress awards at districts! The cast list of Weeping Water's One Act, Imperfect Proposal, is as follows:
