Weeping Water Nebraska
Weeping Water Newsletter
Weeping Water High School's Seniors took a skip day on Wednesday, April 30. More details on the skip day and pictures in this week's newsletter. Also included are pictures from Weeping Water's Junior and Senior Prom held Saturday, May 3.

 Senior Skip Day

Wednesday, April 30 Weeping Water's Senior Class skipped school and went to the indoor water park, Coco Key, for the day. Don't worry, it was a school sponsored event! For the past couple years Weeping Water High School has sponsored a Senior Skip Day for the soon-to-be graduates. This takes away from the worry of the seniors taking an unexpected senior skip day. The seniors had a great time going down the slides, playing water basketball, and floating in the lazy river. Senior Skip Day was a great way for the senior class to have one last fun time together before they went their seperate ways.

Junior/Senior Prom
After numerous changes, Weeping Water's Junior/Senior Prom took place at the Cornhusker Hotel in Lincoln, NE on Saturday, May 3. Surprising, no one had troubles finding parking like last year. Pictures began at 6:30 p.m. with a professional photographer. Coronation was at 7:00 p.m. This year's king and queen were Alex Vice and Hannah Moser. Congratulations! Dinner was enjoyed by all after coronation and the dance started around 8:00 p.m. The DJ was great and everyone had a wonderful time dancing and mingling.

The dance ended around 11:00 p.m. Everyone was thoroughly exhausted from the dancing, but that didn't stop them. It was off to after prom, which took place at the school. The junior parents took charge of the after prom this year. There was a bungee run, bingo, ping pong, blackjack (with fake money of course), mini golf, and a Wii! After prom was a huge success! By the time after prom was over it was 5:00 a.m. All in all the students had a great time spending time together.
