Grease!!
Selected students at Weeping Water High School are busy preparing for the annual spring musical. The musical selected for this year is the ever-popular Grease. Between play practices every night and studying lines at home the performers are very busy. The dates for performances are April 26 & 27 at 7:30 pm in the Weeping Water School auditorium. Admission for the musical is free. Make sure to come and support all of Weeping Water’s fine high school performers next month.

Easter Egg Hunt
The annual Weeping Water Easter Egg hunt is scheduled for Saturday, April 7, 2007 at 1:00 pm. The Easter Egg Hunt will take place at the Weeping Water Football Field. Children through the 4th grade may participate. The Weeping Water Chamber of Commerce sponsors this fun event. Come and join in on all the fun!!

Weeping Water Community Garage Sales
It’s time once again to clean out your closets and garages in time for the Weeping Water garage sales. Instead of only one date for the garage sales, it has been decided to add a second date in the fall as well as the date in the spring. The dates that are set for the garage sales this year are May 5th and September 15th. To be included in the Weeping Water maps contact Sheri at 297-0632 or 267-6145. The deadlines for the maps are April 17th and August 23rd.

Boys and Girls State
After a long and stressful wait for the applicants, the students selected for Boys and Girls state were announced this week. Samantha Wessels was selected to go to Girls State. Phillip Rhodes and Alex Vice were chosen to go to Boys State. Both Boys and Girls state will take place in June in Lincoln, Nebraska. Boys and Girls State is a summer leadership and citizenship program sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary and the American Legion. Boys and Girls State is for high school students between their junior and senior year. It is a very big honor to be selected to attend this summer program. Congratulations!!
