House Fire
Donations are needed to help Judy Root and her family recover from a devastating house fire. Everything is needed. Donations can be delivered to Tom and Patty Sorensen’s house at 35836 Church Rd. on:
April 7th & 8th from 8:00 a.m. – noon
- or -
April 14th & 15th from noon – 4:00 p.m.
If you are unable to deliver your items or you have any questions, contact Mary Crook at 275-3277, Dawn Bickford at 267-5198, or Patty Sorensen at 676-1173.
Community Good Friday Service
This year’s Community Good Friday Service will be held at the First Christian Church in Weeping Water on Friday, April 6 at 7:00 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend. Please bring a friend. Come worship together and enjoy the fellowship of your friends and family at this wonderful uplifting service.
Easter Egg Hunt
The annual Weeping Water Easter Egg hunt is scheduled for Saturday, April 7, 2007 at 1:00 pm. The Easter Egg Hunt will take place at the Weeping Water Football Field. Children through the 4th grade may participate. The Weeping Water Chamber of Commerce sponsors this fun event. Come and join in on all the fun!!
Weeping Water Community Garage Sales
It’s time once again to clean out your closets and garages in time for the Weeping Water garage sales. Instead of only one date for the garage sales, it has been decided to add a second date in the fall as well as the date in the spring. The dates that are set for the garage sales this year are May 5th and September 15th. To be included in the Weeping Water maps contact Sheri at 297-0632 or 267-6145. The deadlines for the maps are April 17th and August 23rd.
Pet Vaccination Clinic
A Pet Vaccination Clinic will be held at the Weeping Water Fire Barn on Saturday, April 21st from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. City personnel will be on hand to issue pet licenses. Remember, you must have your pet licensed in the city of Weeping Water.
Softball Tournament 
The 3rd annual coed slow pitch softball tournament is coming up soon!!!
Who: Teams of 10 people
When: Saturday, April 21, 2007
Where: Weeping Water Ballfield
Cost: $100 per team
All the proceeds of the softball tournament will benefit the Kyle Sorensen scholarship fund. Contact Candi or Matt Hrdy at 402-234-3074 to sign your team up. Space is limited!! The deadline for sign up is April 14th.
