Weeping Water Youth Performs in Dance Recital
Last week over thirty young girls laced up their tap and ballet shoes and performed in front of a large audience in the Weeping Water School auditorium. This large group of girls had been practicing since the beginning of the school year for this important annual event. All of the elementary girls were feeling excitement and nerves as they stepped onto the stage, many for the first time, to show their parents and friends their wonderful dance skill. All of the classes performed wonderfully.
The theme of the recital was Dance the Night Away. This recital was put on by Amanda’s Dance Studio, which is run by Weeping Water High School alumni Amanda Flanagan. This was the fifth year of dance lessons Amanda’s Dance Studio has operated and another great year is starting up again in August. A couple of this past year’s students will be performing at the Limestone Days Celebration at the end of the month.
Dance students who performed in the recital were: Rebecca Kirchhoff, Kathryn Kirchhoff, Nichole Thomas, Dallas Peteriet, Sydney Barrett, Jessie Randall, Sammy Thomas, Tory Lamkins, Jaiden Thomas, Sydney Keckler, Casey Kopf, Claire Hansen, Katie Dettmann, Cheyenne Stott, Kara Aronson, Becca Markham, Kelly Patton, Chloe Lanthrop, Grace Cave, Stevie Hansen, Jamie Twomey, Jenna Twomey, Kaitlyn Cappen, Britney Meyer, Keria Brock, Savannah Barrett, Katie Thoms, Emily Randall, Hannah Blevins, Grace Hansen, Kelsi Vogler, Hannah Mather, Alexia Vogler, Hannah Vogler, and Reagan Aronson. Everyone did a great job and we are all looking forward to seeing them dance at Limestone Days. Congratulations!
