Obituary
John Martin Fleming – 62 – of Weeping Water died August 26, 2021 in Syracuse Nebraska
John Fleming was born in Lincoln, NE to Don and Lucille (Meyer) Fleming on October 3, 1958. John married his wife, Linda Buffington on April 7th, 1995.
John was a devoted Husker fan who loved game days. He also loved the Dallas Cowboys and was an avid Tom Brady fan. Some of his favorite memories were golfing, spending time with his grandkids, and going on family vacations.
Left to mourn his passing are; his wife of 25 years Linda Fleming, Children; Brandie (Louis) Morales, Mackenzie Fleming, Nicholas Fleming & his girlfriend Alysia Hohbein; Grandchildren; Marlow, Hazel, and Wren; Family Friend; Garrett Hill. Many aunts, uncles and cousins.
John was proceeded in death by parents Don and Lucille Fleming.

Nebraska 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb
In remembrance of the 20th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks, members of the public will join area firefighters to climb the stairs of the Werner Park Stadium in honor of the 343 firefighters from the FDNY who died while trying to save others.
Join the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF) on September 11, 2021, for the Nebraska 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb at the Werner Park Stadium, 12356 Ballpark Way, Papillion, NE. Each participant pays tribute to a FDNY firefighter by climbing or walking the equivalent of the 110 stories of the World Trade Center. Registration is $30. Everyone will receive a photo ID of one of the fallen heroes of September 11th. Onsite registration will begin at 7:30 am with Opening Ceremonies beginning at 8:15 am. The Climb will start at 8:30 am and will end at 12:00 pm. Visit https://nfff.akaraisin.com/ui/Nebraska to register and for more information.
“The 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb is an opportunity for anyone in the community to demonstrate respect and admiration for these courageous men who gave their lives trying to save others. 2021 41st Annual QUACKOFF
The QUACKOFF is back and going to be better then ever! 2021 is going to have some exciting changes made! Starting this year we will be racing the ducks on the last Saturday in September, we've froze our butts off for the last 40 years let's warm it up for the next 40!! In addition to the usual duck races we will be starting off the day with a cornhole tournament to get you warmed up for racing and we will have a variety of food trucks lined up.
